How to get there?

At some stage during your journey you'll hopefully end up in Athens International Airport -if you are travelling by plane of course. If you are not travelling by plane, and you still findyourself in the airport, then something has gone quite wrong. Pláka is the picturesque old historical neighbourhood of Athens, clustered around the northern and eastern slopes of the Acropolis, and incorporating labyrinthine streets and neoclassical architecture. Plaka is built on top of the residential areas of the ancient town of Athens. Until the early 20th century Plaka was known as the Arvanite quarter of Athens.

Social programme: New Acropolis Museum

The New Acropolis Museum, which we will visit on Saturday, is an archaeological museum focused on the findings of the archaeological site of the Acropolis of Athens. The museum was built to house every artifact found on the rock and on its feet, from the Greek Bronze Age to Roman and Byzantine Greece.
